Welcome to BitScoot Langkawi.
By booking or renting a scooter from BitScoot, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
1. Rental Requirements
To rent a scooter from BitScoot, customers must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid driving license
- Follow all local traffic laws in Malaysia
International visitors may be required to present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their home country driving license.
BitScoot reserves the right to refuse rental if the renter does not meet these requirements.
2. Rental Period
The rental period begins at the agreed pickup time stated in the booking confirmation.
If the renter arrives late, the rental time will still be calculated from the original booking time.
Late returns may be subject to additional rental charges.
3. Scooter Usage
The rented scooter must be used responsibly and only for normal road travel.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- reckless or dangerous riding
- performing stunts or racing
- riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- allowing unregistered riders to operate the scooter
BitScoot reserves the right to terminate the rental without refund if these rules are violated.
4. Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required before collecting the scooter.
The deposit may be used to cover:
- damage to the scooter
- missing accessories
- traffic fines
- late return charges
The deposit will be returned once the scooter is inspected and confirmed to be in the same condition as when rented.
5. Fuel Policy
Scooters are typically provided with a basic fuel level.
Customers are responsible for refueling during the rental period if needed.
Fuel costs are not included in the rental price.
6. Accidents and Damage
In the event of an accident, the renter must:
- inform BitScoot immediately
- report the incident if required by local authorities
The renter is responsible for any damage caused during the rental period, including repair costs that exceed the security deposit.
7. Traffic Fines and Violations
All traffic violations, parking tickets, or legal penalties incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter.
BitScoot reserves the right to charge the renter for any fines issued by local authorities related to the rental.
8. Loss or Theft
The renter is responsible for the scooter and accessories during the rental period.
In the case of loss or theft due to negligence, the renter may be required to cover the replacement cost of the vehicle or accessories.
9. Liability Disclaimer
BitScoot is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from the misuse or negligent operation of the rented scooter.
Customers are responsible for riding safely and complying with all road regulations.
10. Amendments
BitScoot reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
