Refund Policy


At BitScoot Langkawi, we aim to provide reliable, transparent, and hassle-free scooter rental services for travelers exploring Langkawi. Please read our refund policy carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking Cancellation by Customer

  • No refund: Cancellation made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time or in case of no-show.
  • Full refund: Cancellation made 48 hours or more before the scheduled pickup time.
  • 50% refund: Cancellation made 24–48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.

2. Reservation Deposit

  • A reservation deposit may be required to secure your scooter booking.
  • The deposit confirms availability of the scooter for your selected date and time.
  • Reservation deposits are non-refundable within 24 hours before pickup.

3. Operational or Unforeseen Circumstances

  • BitScoot reserves the right to reschedule bookings due to extreme weather conditions, vehicle safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  • In such situations, we will offer an alternative pickup time, date, or scooter model where possible.
  • If an alternative arrangement cannot be made, a full refund may be issued upon request.

4. Refund Processing

  • Refund requests must include the booking name, pickup date, and reason for cancellation.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during the booking.
  • Refund processing may take 5–10 business days, depending on the payment provider.
  • Transaction fees charged by third-party payment gateways (such as credit card processing fees) may be non-refundable.

5. Late Pickup & No-Show Policy

  • Customers are required to collect the scooter at the agreed pickup time stated in the booking confirmation.
  • If the customer is late for more than 2 hours without prior notice, the booking may be considered a no-show.
  • In the event of a no-show, the reserved scooter may be released to other customers, and no refund will be issued.
  • Customers who expect to arrive late are advised to contact BitScoot in advance so we can attempt to hold the reservation, subject to availability.

6. Booking Amendments

  • Changes to bookings including pickup time, return time, or scooter model may be allowed depending on availability.
  • Customers are advised to inform BitScoot as early as possible if they need to modify their booking.
  • Any price differences resulting from booking changes will be communicated before confirmation.
