- Insurance: every scooter has basic insurance. If an accident is the renter's fault, the renter pays up to the excess (RM1,500 for scooters up to 150cc, RM2,000 for 160–300cc) plus a fair loss-of-use charge.
- Licence: a valid home licence that includes motorcycles (a car-only licence is not enough). Visitors from ASEAN countries need only their home licence; others should also bring an International Driving Permit (IDP).
- Payment: FPX online banking, e-wallet, bank transfer or card. Card payments (credit, debit or tap) via Stripe carry a 5% fee.
